The DAAD provides scholarships in a variety of academic subjects at selected universities for international students pursuing master’s or doctoral degrees. The DAAD provides aid to more than 100,000 German and foreign students.

Financial Benefits

International students can apply for fully funded Master’s and Ph.D. scholarships in Germany through the DAAD Scholarships 2025–26. It will pay for all of the costs associated with studying for free in Germany.

  • Depending on educational background, 861 euros for graduates and 1,200 euros for doctorate applicants every month.

Eligibility Criteria

  • All candidates from underdeveloped nations.
  • Candidates have completed a four-year program leading to a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • He or she shouldn’t have more than six years of academic history.
  • Candidates have worked in the field for at least two years.

How Can I Apply for a Scholarship from DAAD?

Apply directly to the chosen study program.

  • Step 1: Send your completed application or applications straight to the postgraduate program.
  • Step 2: Potential applicants are recommended by a DAAD scholarship selection committee.
  • Step 3: The recommended applicants will be contacted by the DAAD to ask them to upload their complete applications to the DAAD Portal.
  • Step 4: Recommendations for applicants will be communicated together with the final selection results.
